Dr. Vinick treats a lot of individuals from the Redondo Beach community who are harmed at work. According to the National Safety Council, the most common kind of work injury is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which involves injuries to the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and joints. MSDs account for more than one third of all workplace injuries.
The most ordinary type of MSD is a strain, which is an injury to a muscle or tendon. Strains are caused by lifting, pushing or pulling too much weight, or by doing repetitive movements. Other typical MSDs are carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and back issues.
These injuries can be avoided by using appropriate lifting techniques, taking many breaks and using ergonomic tools. Employers can also help prevent injuries by providing their employees educational data on how to avoid getting hurt at work.
Back issues and injuries are a routine problem that Dr. Vinick sees in our #Ciyt# office and we also work with men and women who have shoulder or neck pain.
If you have suffered a work injury or accident and live in the Redondo Beach region, give Dr. Vinick a call and make an appointment today. We will help you to create a treatment plan that will help you heal and do our best to have you back on the job as quickly as possible!
